This, my new self-built website, was launched in May 2023, and as one who is technologically challenged, I have a way to go before it gets to where I want it. Please bear with me.
The past few months have been very intensive ones, not only regarding the website, but for major events which have occurred and are about to launched:-
STILLNESS EXHIBITION 23 SEPT – 22 OCT 2023
This group exhibition is being held at Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah features 31 artists exploring the theme “Stillness“.
In our busy and complex world and lives, stillness of mind has become elusive and sacred. Stolen moments of time, personal beliefs, meditation, sentimental objects, repetitive movements, and daily rituals and beliefs become cherished and valued pathways to stillness.
This “Stillness“ theme is bound to provide attendees with some thought-provoking entries, exciting their minds.
My abstract painting “Introspection“ asks the viewer to look within their own mind to interpret their personal feelings of what my work reveals to them.
PEEL OPEN STUDIOS 15 – 23 APRIL 2023
Peel Region based artists around the main city of Mandurah opened their doors to welcome thousands of visitors into their private studio spaces.
Art lovers Immersed themselves into a vibrant atmosphere, exploring artwork presented across 39 art studios in the region.
My studio was open over the full 9 days of the event where I was delighted to welcome more than 120 visitors and explain the processes and stories behind each of my artworks.
I thank those who purchased paintings to feature upon their walls, which is the ultimate compliment and the reason why I love to create art.
Despite Peel Open studios ’23 having ended, to pay me a visit just send an email and we’ll set a date for you to check out my work, see what I’m up to and have a general chat about art. I’m located in Dudley Park, Mandurah, just 500 metres south of the Post office.
ORIGINS ’23 EXHIBITION 31 MARCH – 28 APRIL
Presenting an eclectic collection of artworks, the Origins ’23 April Exhibition shone a spotlight on many of the artists who participated in the Peel Open Studios event.
“Origins” was held at the Mandurah Art Gallery, Mandurah Performing Arts Centre in Ormsby Terrace where my latest artwork “Barra Trap Pindan Bay” was on display.
MOVING AHEAD
Substantially more content and other options on the website are being expanded in the months going forward – slowly – as I learn my way forward.
