As a child you absorbed the beauty of your environment, wondered at the glow of a sunset, were entranced by the song of a bird, delighted at the scent of a flower, tasted sweet raindrops from the sky and felt sand running through your fingers. You were in awe of lightning and thunder, the heat of the sun and the tranquility of the moon.
This childhood connection you had with the pure forces of Nature materialised from the genes of your primeval forebears which surge within your body.
In today’s world however, due to overpowering technological change, humanity is becoming disconnected from its spiritual attachment to Mother Earth.
My childhood embraced the outdoors and was captivated by the art of our Australian Aboriginal first peoples, which forged my ongoing fascination with worldwide tribal cultures and ancient civilisations.
The forces of the wild I’ve encountered over my lifetime, combined with studies of primitivism, have provoked within me a sense of spiritual mystery, inflaming my imagination and exciting my artistic creativity.
Through my interconnection with nature and mankind’s early beginnings, I invite you to explore your Primal Connection through my art.
